Since the start of 1444 AH, 8 million people have visited and worshipped in the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah, according to Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sudais, the head of the Presidency of the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques.

The mosque, which is the second-largest mosque after Masjid al-Haram, was constructed by the Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) himself after he moved to Madinah in 622 AD.
