KSA Prohibits Unauthorized Vehicles from Entering Hajj Sites

Saudi Arabia has prohibited unauthorized vehicles from entering the holy sites of Makkah and Madina during the ongoing Hajj season.

This prohibition on these vehicles will be implemented from midnight on the fifth of Dhu al-Hijjah, Jun. 12 until the end of the thirteenth day, Jun. 20.

Individuals transporting Hajj pilgrims without valid Hajj permits will be imprisoned for six months and will be fined SAR 50,000 for each unauthorized pilgrim transported. 

The regulations dictate that these individuals' vehicles will also be confiscated and they will be deported with a temporary entry ban. 

Pilgrims without Hajj permits will also be fined SAR 10,000 and they will be deported with an entry ban. 

The Hajj pilgrimage is expected to begin on Friday, Jun. 14 and more than 1.2 pilgrims have already arrived in Makkah for the pilgrimage. 

Hajj is the annual pilgrimage that Muslims make to Makkah in Saudi Arabia from the eighth to the thirteenth Dhul Hijjah.
