The Saudi national airline Saudia will purchase 105 Airbus planes, becoming the biggest aircraft deal in Saudi Arabia

The airline will receive 54 A321neo aircraft and while budget offshoot flyadeal will acquire 12 A320neo and 39 A321neo planes.

This purchase marks a further investment by the Saudi airlines into the aviation sector. 

Saudi Arabia's new carrier Riyadh Air is also in talks for a second order for wide-body aircraft, according to recent reports. 

Saudi authorities have also announced plans for a large new airport in Riyadh, which will accommodate 120 million passengers a year.
