High Temperatures Forecasted
Ayman bin Salem Ghulam, CEO of the NCM, stated during a press conference in Makkah that afternoon temperatures at the holy sites are expected to reach between 45°C and 48°C. The chance of rain is low, though there is a possibility of thunderclouds forming over the highlands of Taif, which could affect the holy sites. Humidity levels might also exceed 60%.
Monitoring and Preparedness
Ghulam emphasized that the NCM has an executive plan in place to monitor the weather continuously. This includes coverage of the holy sites, Madinah, airports, ports, and main roads to ensure the safety and well-being of pilgrims.
