Construction Begins on Saudi Arabia's New Smart Community

Construction has officially kicked off for Banan City, a major new development located northeast of Riyadh. This 10 square kilometer municipality is part of Saudi Arabia's preparations for World Expo 2030. The project aims to create a modern, smart community featuring over 20,000 homes for around 120,000 residents.

Talaat Moustafa Group Leads the Way

The Saudi Talaat Moustafa Group, a prominent real estate developer, announced that work has begun in the Al-Fursan suburb. Construction is running 24/7 with heavy machinery in full operation to ensure timely completion of the project.

High-Tech Features in the Works

Banan City will showcase advanced smart city technologies. Plans include security and surveillance systems, various sensors for safety, and renewable energy solutions such as solar panels and smart grids. The city will also feature smart irrigation, intelligent lighting, and efficient waste management systems.

Supported by Key Figures

The project is backed by Saudi Arabia’s Housing Minister Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hagail and the National Housing Company (NHC). As construction progresses, the focus remains on delivering a high-tech, secure, and sustainable community in preparation for the upcoming World Expo.
