European Film Festival Takes Center Stage in Jeddah & Riyadh

Movie buffs, rejoice! The European Film Festival is back, and it's bigger and better than ever. From May 29 to June 6, cinephiles in Jeddah and Riyadh will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of European cinema at VOX Cinemas in Century Corner and Jeddah Park.

Organized by the European Union Delegation in partnership with Arabia Pictures and the Embassies of EU Member States, the European Film Festival aims to foster cultural exchange and collaboration between European and Saudi filmmakers.

With a lineup of 21 films representing 21 European countries, as well as masterclasses and Q&A sessions with esteemed directors, this festival promises to be a celebration of cinematic excellence.

Audiences can look forward to a diverse selection of films spanning genres and themes, from captivating dramas to thought-provoking documentaries. With contributions from countries such as Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czechia, Cyprus, and more, the festival offers a glimpse into the rich and varied cinematic traditions of Europe.

In addition to showcasing films from across the EU, the festival will also feature entries from Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, and Sweden. Each film offers a unique perspective on European culture and society, providing audiences with an opportunity to explore new worlds from the comfort of their seats.

Since its announcement in 2022, the European Film Festival has been hailed as a platform for cross-cultural dialogue and artistic expression.
