The ICC Men's T20 World Cup is set to begin on Saturday, Jun. 1, are you ready for it?

The T20 World Cup is an international cricket tournament, which is organized by the International Cricket Council (ICC) since 2007.

For the first time, the T20 World Cup will be hosted in the Americas with 20 teams participating in the tournament.

The tournament will end with the final match on Saturday, Jun. 29 in Barbados. 

For this year's tournament, the ICC has brought in more teams to participate in the T20 World Cup. The 20 teams have been divided into four groups of five and the top two sides from each group will advance to the Super Eight phase. 

From this phase, the teams will qualify for the semi-finals and finals.

  • A: India, Pakistan, Canada, Ireland, and US.
  • B: England, Australia, Namibia, Scotland, and Oman.
  • C: New Zealand, West Indies, Afghanistan, Papua New Guinea, and Uganda.
  • D: South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Netherlands.

  • Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York
  • The Grand Prairie Stadium in Texas
  • The Grand Prairie Airhogs baseball stadium in Texas
  • The Central Broward Regional Park Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida
  • The Guyana National Stadium in the Caribbean
  • The Kensington Oval in Barbados
  • The Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua
  • The Daren Sammy Cricket Ground in Saint Lucia
  • The Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad and Tobago
  • The Arnos Vale Stadium in St Vincent

The last champions of the tournament, England received a cheque of $1.6 million. The team they were playing against, Pakistan received $800,000 while semi-finalists India and New Zealand were awarded $400,000 each.
