International Experts head to Riyadh to Tackle Online Fraud Prevention

Starting on Sunday, a workshop called "Online Social-Engineering Scams and Cyber-Enabled Financial Crimes" will be held in Riyadh, hosted by Naif Arab University for Security Sciences. The workshop will span three days.

Bankers and members of the NAUSS Center of Excellence in Cybercrimes and Digital Forensics will be joined by experts from various parts of the world to discuss strategies for combating online financial crime during the three-day workshop in Riyadh.

The workshop in Riyadh will be attended by several organizations and institutions, including the National Police University, INTERPOL Financial Crimes and Anti-corruption Center, ScamAdviser, Anti-Scam Command, Singapore Police Force, Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, and the Global Anti-Scam Alliance. These participants will be present to discuss and exchange ideas on online financial crime.

The workshop will cover 19 working papers centered around three main topics. The first day will be dedicated to discussing prevalent techniques of social engineering used for financial fraud on the internet. On the second and final days, real-life crimes will be examined, and the best approaches for investigating them will be discussed. The workshop will conclude with a discussion on the difficulties and prospects connected with financial fraud.
