Saudi Provided 1.5M Services to Support Hajj Pilgrims 2024

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance played a crucial role during this year's Hajj season, providing approximately 1.5 million religious services to assist the 1.8 million pilgrims who participated. These services were available from June 15, just before Arafat, until the conclusion of Hajj.

Deployment of Resources

The ministry deployed 600 Islamic teachers and translators across key locations such as Makkah, Madinah, Mina, Muzdalifah, and Arafat. These educators were instrumental in guiding pilgrims and providing information about the annual religious rituals. Additionally, a toll-free helpline was established to manage pilgrims’ inquiries effectively.

Presence of Preachers

More than 600 male and female preachers were present at the Holy sites, offering guidance in multiple languages on Islam and emphasizing the importance of moderation. Minister Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Alsheikh praised their dedication and role in supporting pilgrims during Hajj.

Comprehensive Assistance

The ministry’s support extended throughout the pilgrimage journey, including guidance during the days of Tashreeq in Makkah and at the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah. Their efforts aimed to ensure a spiritually enriching experience for all participants, reflecting their commitment to pilgrims' welfare and spiritual well-being.
